At first sight, the Honour X9c has a premium feel. The device has a curved, sleek design, a smooth surface, and a thin form factor. It’s pretty light as well, weighing around 189 g. Our review unit supports a polycarbonate back panel.
Frankly, the tie-dye-like design is pretty cool. We could not want to use it with a case, not that users would need it, given how the phone is. Speaking of durability, the phone has an improved IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, which, if you think about it, the Honor X200 doesn’t even have. On top of that, it’s also resistant to extreme heat and cold temperatures.

Plus, it’s also rated for drops of up to 2 m. If you guys have seen its predecessor, you’ll notice that at the rear it has a similar round housing or design, but instead of the cross-like pattern, the sensors are now more reminiscent of a cube.
At the front, we have the phone screen. Users will find that it has asymmetrical bezels with a camera and a pill-shaped notch, which we’ll get into in a little bit, for buttons and ports.
Users will find the power button and volume rocker on the right side; at the bottom there’s a loudspeaker, a USB Type-C port for charging and wired data transfers, and the dual nano SIM card tray.
At the top we have the other half of the loudspeakers because it does feature stereo audio. Overall, we’re pretty happy with how this iteration of the honor X9 was fleshed out last year. It was mainly marketed for durability’s sake.
Now it finds a good balance between design performance and versatility; for its display, the phone supports a 6.78 in AMOLED screen with a full HD Plus resolution and a refresh rate that can go up to 120 Hz.
The display panel is also protected by Asahi double-tempered glass. We mostly use this display for video streaming, browsing, and a bit of gaming, and at first glance we could tell that the display was smooth from scrolling alone. It felt fluid and smooth, and the actual experience just got better when watching our favorite
Honor X9c Camera:
The phone has dual rear shooters at the rear; this consists of a 108-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation paired with a 5-megapixel ultrawide camera in front.
Honor X9c also equipped with a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. It fares decently under this segment, leveraging postprocessing from AI to produce its shots. Notably, Honor X9chas one less sensor at the rear when compared to its previous iteration;
However, we felt like it didn’t take away from its performance overall; photos taken with the honor x9c are certainly Instagram-worthy. Personally, though, we feel like the colors aren’t too accurate;

As you can see, the photos are great both indoors and outdoors. Again, the saturation is something we can’t overlook, but then again, it does compensate through subject separation for video; it can shoot at up to 4K at 30 frames per second for the rear camera but only 1080P or full HD for the front.
While the main camera does well, the selfie camera struggles indoors and with low light. All things considered, the Honor X9c Sports has decent cameras for its price range.
